- Open to riders 6 years
of age & under. The
class will be worked at a walk, both directions of the ring. In the line up the rider may be asked to back the horse to help
the judge determine the extent of the rider's horsemanship. If the judge asks the rider to back the horse in the line up, the
leader should not aid the rider. The
rider will be judged on basic horsemanship; the position in the saddle,
hand, legs, seat and back position. Lead Line will be held at
approximately 12:00 pm

height varies with the riders age: See Equitation fence heights. Qualification for the TSHSA Medal Finals will be based on
accumulated points: 1st=10 2nd=7; 3rd=5; 4th=3; 5th=1. It will take ten (10)points
to qualify each year for the finals.
