2008 OTTERBEIN COLLEGE MEDAL Saturday, May 24, 2008 Open to all Junior and Amateur exhibitors,. Fence heights are determined by the primary Hunter Division of horse and rider combination. Fence height 2'3", 2'6", and 3' no in and out. To be shown over a minimum of eight fences and must include at least two changes of direction. The top four riders or 20% of the first round competitors, whichever is greater, are required to perform at least two individual tests from USEF Tests 1-19. An Open Numerical Scoring System must be used in the first round, with each rider=s score announced at the completion of their round. The winner will receive a Perpetual Trophy. LAST CHANCE CORRAL CHARITY CLASSIC Saturday, July 26, 2008 ADon=t miss the Horse Parade A Great Time for a Great Cause@ The Classic is open to all non-professional riders and horses / ponies. To be shown over a hunter type course of at least 8 fences. No in and out. Exhibitors fence heights are determined by primary Hunter Division of horse and rider combination. Fence height 2'3", 2'6", and 3" All exhibitors will be scored over a first round course. Exhibitors without a major fault will return for a second round. Both scores will be added to determine placing. Weather permitting. This class will be Saturday Evening, July 26, 2008 under the lights. Time to be announced. All proceeds to benefit The Last Chance Corral. Ribbons and Prizes will be awarded through 6th place. Entry Fee $40.00 The Last Chance Corral is a federally designated 501(c) nonprofit organization and a member of The American Horse Protection Association, The American Humane Society and the Better Business Bureau. Winner of the 2000 National Hank Award for efforts in saving 200 slaughter-bound foals, and the 2001 American Veterinary Medical Association Award for continued efforts in saving abused and neglected horses. Open to those riders who have qualified according to the TSHSA guidelines. Fence heights will be according to age or primary Hunter Division shown. To be shown over a course of a minimum of eight fences, at least one combination, with two changes of direction. All exhibitors will jump a first round course which will count as 50% of their score. Those without a major fault (refusal, fall, or off course) will return for the flat phase, which will count for 50%. The judge may then work off the top 4 - 6 exhibitors, using USEF testing. The winner will receive a Championship Cooler, Gold Medal and the TSHSA Perpetual Trophy. Ribbons will be awarded to 10th place. Weather permitting. This class will be Saturday Evening, October 4, 2008 under the lights. Time to be announced Entry Fee $35.00
